This is from a review from the Modesto Bee for the 2008 production of ALL SHOOK UP at Sierra Repertory Theater in Sonora, CA. The entire review can be found here:http://www.modbee.com/arts/reviews/story/478066.html

"Some of the most memorable singing comes from Jantré Haskin and Jo-D Dalcour, who respectively play tavern owner Sylvia and daughter Lorraine. They nearly bring down the house with their duet of "That's All Right."
Defying racist views in their conservative town, the African-American divas become romantically involved with white residents Jim, Natalie's dad, sweetly played by Daraj Maxfield, and stiff military school student Dennis, played by handsome and acrobatically skilled Jonathan Scott Roth.

Sierra Rep scored a hit with its last Elvis-tribute show, 2005's "Idols of the King," and will no doubt do well with this feel-good gem."

Here is a review from my cabaret debut in Los Angeles May 2008.  It was published on Backstage.com. The original link can be found here: http://backstage.blogs.com/blogstage/2008/05/page/2/

Catching up again with Sterling’s Upstairs at Vitello’s, the charming cabaret venue in Studio City, provided great fun on Memorial Day weekend. Producer Michael Sterling introduced luminous Jantre Haskin, the sultry songstress who won last December’s annual LA’s Next Great Stage Star competition, sponsored by Sterling’s. Her prize was $1,000 in cash and this one-night showcase. She started things off smashingly with Michael John La Chiusa’s “Welcome to My Party” from The Wild Party, and sizzled in other numbers such as the 1940s classic “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and Sondheim’s “There Won’t Be Trumpets.” She was joined by two talented guests: vivacious Nikkema Taylor, at her showstopping best in “Make Them Hear You” from Ragtime; and the superb DeReau K. Farrar, who crooned smoothly with Haskin in the sexy duet, “Honeysuckle Rose.” Fine cuisine and stellar entertainment are served up with style at Sterling’s, a habit-forming entertainment spot. http://myspace.com/sterlingsupstairs.
